  • An 1867 Victoria Sydney Type II Gold Sovereign from the Sydney Mint, Australia.
  • UNC coin with no wear or friction on the high points according to the PCGS MS 62 definition.
  • Last public appearance of this coin in an NGC MS 62 holder was sold for $4,312.50 at the 2012 April 25-May 1 World & Ancient Coins CICF Signature Auction- Chicago. That was a $575 increase from the 2011 September Long Beach Signature World & Ancient Coins Auction where an NGC MS 62 realized $3,737.50.
  • Therefore auction prices for this date and grade suggest a strong upward trend. Also it is widely known that Australian coins in PCGS holders sell for more than their NGC counterparts.
